Ruby Tui, a star of the Black Ferns, showcased her skills by scoring four tries during a 70-7 victory over Wales in Dunedin.
Tui’s extraordinary feat took place within a magical 13-minute span during the first half of the match.
This was Tui’s return to Test rugby after a sabbatical to play rugby sevens in the United States earlier this year. Her performance, including a cheeky goose-step during one of her tries, emphasized her skill in both forms of the game.
Tui’s scoring spree was part of a dominant display by the Black Ferns, who had previously lost to France. Her fellow wing, Mererangi Paul, also secured a hat-trick, and Lucy Jenkins scored twice. Additional tries came from Amy du Plessis, Katelyn Vahaakolo, and Ruahei Demant.
The Black Ferns will face England in their next match, a team that nearly defeated them in the Rugby World Cup final last year.
