Australia pulled off an exciting win against New Zealand in the first T20 match in Wellington, securing victory on the very last ball.

Needing four runs to win, Tim David hit a boundary, sealing the game for Australia despite a close effort from Glenn Phillips.

New Zealand had set a strong target of 215 runs, thanks to notable innings by Rachin Ravindra, who scored 68, and Devon Conway with 63.

Australian captain Mitchell Marsh led from the front, scoring a high of 72 runs, and David added a quick 31 off just 10 balls. This thrilling match marked a fantastic start to Australia’s tour of New Zealand, with both teams showing great skill and determination.

The next game is eagerly awaited, set to take place in Auckland on Friday.
