Abercrombe back for the Breakers

Tom Abercrombie, the record-breaking captain of the New Zealand Breakers basketball team has resigned for the 2023/24 season.

The 2023/24 season will be his 16th with the club.

He will reach a remarkable milestone of 400 games when the Breakers face the Cairns Taipans in their season opener.

Abercrombie is the only player to have participated in all six championship series appearances for the Breakers over the past 13 years.

Coach Mody Maor is thrilled with Abercrombie’s decision to stay, highlighting his versatile skills and trustworthiness in crucial moments.

Abercrombie holds numerous club records, including wins, playoff games, points, and three-pointers. His exceptional defensive abilities and game-changing steals have made him an invaluable player for the Breakers.
