K-Pop Demon Hunters, a film about music, teamwork, and fighting evil, won two top prizes at the Golden Globes—Best Animated Film and Best Original Song.
The movie, which features a girl band that battles demons by night and sings pop hits by day, became Netflix’s most-watched film just two months after its release in June 2025.
Directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans thanked fans and highlighted how the story celebrates strong female characters and the power of music. The award-winning song Golden topped UK music charts for weeks and broke several records.
K-Pop Demon Hunters beat other popular films like Elio and Zootropolis 2 in the animation category. It also defeated two songs from Wicked: For Good to win Best Original Song.
