The Football World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events on the planet — and now you can be part of the action.
With Kiwi Kids News 2026 World Cup Prediction Game, students can predict match results, test their football knowledge, and compete against others to see who can finish at the top of the table.

First place will win a replica All Whites t-shirt.
1. Set up your account
To set up your account CLICK HERE and register with a username and password.
Remember to use an appropriate username.
We will then email you back and give you a password to use. This may take a little time – just be patient.
2. Login to your account.
Each time you come back you will need to login to your account to make your next round of predictions. Use the username and password emailed to you by Kiwi Kids News.

3. Open the Prediction Game
Once you are logged in, you will have access to the Kiwi Kids News World Cup Prediction Game.
4. Make your predictions
You will see a list of upcoming World Cup matches.
For each match, enter the score you think will happen.
For example:
New Zealand 2 – 1 Iran
Check your prediction carefully before saving it.
5. Save your picks
After entering your score, click the SAVE button at the bottom of the page.
6. Check your points
After matches are played, points will be added based on how accurate your predictions were.
Make your predictions early, follow the results, and see if you can climb the leaderboard.
1. Make your predictions 30 minutes before kick-off.
Predictions must be entered before each match begins. Once the game has started, predictions for that match are locked.
2. Predict the score
For each match, choose the final score you think will happen. Points will be awarded after the match result is confirmed.
3. Points decide the leaderboard
Players earn points for correct predictions. The more accurate your picks, the higher you climb on the leaderboard.
4. Results are based on the official match score
The official FIFA match result will be used to award points. For knockout games it will be the final score including goals in extra time/penalties.
5. Be respectful
This is a fun competition. Players must use appropriate names and comments. Any unsuitable entries may be removed.
6. No late changes
Once a match has started, predictions cannot be changed for that match.
7. The organiser’s decision is final
Kiwi Kids News will manage the competition, update results, and make final decisions if there are any issues.
8. Play for fun
The game is designed for friendly competition, learning, and World Cup excitement. Kia kaha — give it your best shot!
Points are awarded for ALL Games according to the following rules:
GAME POINTS
Correct score – 10 Points
For example predict 3-0 and the result is 3-0 you are awarded 10 points. This includes draws and penalties in the knockout stage.
Guessing a draw – 7 Points
For example predict a 2 -2 draw and the result is 1 -1 you are awarded 5 points.
Wrong score but predicted the correct winner – 5 Points
For example predict 1-0 and the result is 2-0 you are awarded 5 points. This includes the penalties in the knockout stage.
The points above are not cumulative, for example predict 2-2 and the result is 2-2, you gain 5 points, NOT 10 points
