Waka Ama for Mount Intermediate

On Monday the 6th of October, Our Whānau class 23 & 24 went to Waikorire/Pilot Bay with 4 other schools to race in Waka ama.

We had a lot of fun, racing, paddling, getting out into the water, seeing friends from other kura/school and having the chance to be a part of the first Year 7, Year 8 Waka ama held event while representing our kura with mana.

We were lucky to take the win and bring back 2 Taonga out of 3 that has been carved with lots of hard work and dedication by one of the Matua from Te Wharekura ō Mauao.
