In an impressive box office debut, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert film has grossed over $95 million in domestic ticket sales, according to distributor AMC Entertainment.

This surpasses Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never” concert film, which earned $73 million during its entire run in theaters back in 2011, making Swift’s film the highest-grossing concert film release domestically.

The film is also the widest-released concert film in history, being shown in over 3,850 domestic locations during its debut. This success comes despite initial forecasts being uncertain due to the unique nature of the release, and it is expected that it could potentially reach the $100 million benchmark after all tickets have been counted.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert film marks an undeniable tentpole-level success, pleasing both Swift, her fans, and the theatrical exhibition industry.

This accomplishment further solidifies Swift’s presence not only in the music industry but also in the world of film, making her one of the entertainment industry’s most influential figures.
