Taylor breaks Spotify records

Taylor Swift has become the first female artist to amass over 100 million streams on Spotify in a single month.

This achievement follows the release of her third re-recorded album, “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” in July, which topped both the US and UK charts. Additionally, she became the first woman to have four albums simultaneously in the US Top 10 album chart, a feat accomplished by only three artists in total.

While Swift holds the record for the most monthly streams by a female artist, she ranks second overall. The record for the highest number of monthly listeners on Spotify belongs to The Weeknd, with over 110 million, set in February 2023. UK pop star Ed Sheeran is in fourth place with a record of 77 million monthly listeners.
