The New Zealand Silver Ferns faced a tough loss to England in the Netball World Cup semi-final, with a final score of 46-40.

This means the Silver Ferns will now have to play against Jamaica in the bronze medal match to avoid their worst ever finish at the tournament.

Despite a strong performance, the Silver Ferns struggled to get the ball to their shooters, and England’s experienced players proved decisive in the final moments of the game.

The team’s captain, Ameliaranne Ekenasio, expressed disappointment but also determination to bounce back in the next match.

Meanwhile, England’s victory sets up a gold medal match against Australia, making it the first time New Zealand will not meet their trans-Tasman rivals at the World Cup.
