Rev up your engines and put your hands together for New Zealand racing driver Scott Dixon! Dixon has just been inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, an amazing honour for any racer.

Dixon is a superstar in the world of IndyCars, and has won the championship six times! That’s more than any other driver in the history of IndyCar racing. And now, he’s being recognised as one of the greatest drivers of all time.

“I’m extremely honoured to be thought of in this way and mentioned among many of the greats across so many forms of motorsports,” Dixon said.

He’s going to be recognised at a special event in Florida next year, alongside other legendary drivers, stuntmen, inventors, and more.

But even though Dixon is a superstar, he knows he couldn’t have gotten there alone. “A single person can never do it alone,” he said. “I’m grateful to Chip, the team, and everyone who has helped make this possible over the last 20 years, and then going back to the start of it all with my parents and the group that helped me along.”

And even though Dixon is a world-famous driver, he still just loves racing. “First and foremost, I am a racing fan and that’s where the desire comes from,” he said. “I’m extremely lucky to be able to do what I do and I am grateful for everybody that has helped give me the possibility, and this is in their honor.”

We’re so proud of Scott Dixon for this amazing achievement!
