In Simi Valley, California, a man from Idaho has broken yet another Guinness World Record – this time by catching a scoop of ice cream in a cone from 16.89 metres away.

David Rush, who already holds more than 300 records, added this unique feat to his growing list.

Rush worked with Josh VanBattenburg, a teammate from YouTuber Josh Horton’s group, to attempt the record for the farthest ice cream throw and catch by a team of two. VanBattenburg launched the scoop with a standard ice cream scoop, while Rush waited with his cone ready at the far end.

After several tries, Rush successfully caught the ice cream in his cone, with the scoop staying firmly inside. The exact distance is about 16.89 metres, and it was carefully measured from the tip of the thrower’s front foot to where Rush stood.

Rush shared that the catch had to be very precise and that it wasn’t easy keeping the ice cream in the cone. This chilly challenge required perfect aim, timing, and teamwork.

This fun and impressive record joins many others that Rush has set to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, and maths) education and inspire young learners.
