A super hot heatwave has hit Asia. It’s been so hot that some schools in India had to close and sadly, some people have even passed away.
Maximiliano Herrera, who is a super smart weather expert, said that this is the “worst April heatwave in Asian history”!
In China, the temperatures have been breaking records for April. It’s been so hot in places like Chengdu, Zhejiang, Nanjing, and Hangzhou that people have been feeling really uncomfortable.
And it’s not just China that’s feeling the heat. Southeast Asian countries like Laos and Thailand have also been super hot. Luang Prabang in Laos even had the hottest temperature in its history, which was 42.7C.
Bangladesh has also been feeling the heat. The capital city, Dhaka, had its hottest day in 58 years. It was so hot that even the roads started to melt. Can you believe that?
In India, things have been tough too. This heatwave has hit some states really hard, and the weather department has even issued a warning for a severe heatwave in some parts. This means that people who work outside, like farmers and labourers, are in danger of getting sick from the heat.
very interesting
I loved reading it because, I never knew that maybe chocolate might be gone in the future!
save the chocolate…
I enjoyed this reading because
it show what climate changes does!!
they might have to move most chocolate into a colder place, since the climate clock is getting low
so temperature might get higher.
i love chocolate
I’m allergic to dairy, but this makes me sad for my best friends all around NZ (don’t think it’s weird because I actually do). And my chocolate loving cousin, her name is Dana (I’m from South Korea and she told me how to spell her name in Korean but its not pronounced like Dana).
I know that there are chocolate lovers around the world so, poor them or if you like chocolate poor you (even though I’m allergic to dairy, or to make it easy dairy products: cheese, milk, butter etc).
