The All Blacks have beaten the world’s number team, Ireland, to move into the semi finals of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Despite Ireland’s status as the world’s top-ranked team and high hopes of reaching the semi-finals, they couldn’t overcome their quarter-final curse against the All Blacks.

The All Black’s victory came with tries from Leicester Fainga’anuku, Ardie Savea, and Will Jordan, setting up a semi-final against the Pumas at Stade de France.

Ireland managed tries by Bundee Aki and Jamison Gibson-Park, along with a penalty try. Yet, despite passionate support from their fans, they couldn’t orchestrate a late-game comeback.

New Zealand had two players sin-binned during the match but still held their ground against Ireland’s pressure, gaining their revenge after losing a Test series to the Irish at home the previous year.

In a thrilling chapter of their ongoing rivalry, Ireland fought until the end but ultimately couldn’t overcome the All Blacks’ determined defense. New Zealand celebrated their victory, while the Irish players sank in devastation at the final whistle.

This defeat brings an end to Ireland’s impressive 17-match winning streak and their hopes of emulating England’s 2003 team by winning both the Six Nations Grand Slam and the World Cup.
