After almost two decades, Woolworths is making a triumphant return to New Zealand’s supermarket scene.

The Countdown Bethlehem store in Tauranga has undergone a five-month refurbishment and emerged as Woolworths Bethlehem, marking a significant transformation.

This change is a part of Woolworths NZ’s substantial $400 million investment aimed at modernizing their stores to better cater to the needs of communities throughout the country.

While the rebranding process is underway, the complete transition from Countdown to Woolworths is expected to take a couple of years.

Store manager Dwaine Geddes, who was part of the original opening team, expressed his enthusiasm for leading the reopening of the store.
