Bob Weighton, the world’s oldest man, has celebrated his 112th birthday this week.

Mr Weighton was born on March 29th in 1908 and lives in Hampshire, United Kingdom. He has three children of his own, has 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Weighton was presented with his certificate by staff at the assisted living home where he lives.

A spokeswoman for Guinness World Records said that because of the COVID-19 outbreak, its officials were not able to reach Weighton.

When he received his award, Weighton said: “I can’t say I was pleased to hear the previous holder had died but I am very pleased that I’ve been able to live so long and make so many friends.”

Kane Tanaka is currently the oldest living person, celebrating her 117th birthday in January.
