Ras al-Khaimah, a state in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has opened the world’s longest zip line.

The 2.83km zip line allows thrill seekers to jump from the peak off the UAE’s highest mountain, the Jebel Jais, which is 1,680m above sea level.

Getting to the ground from the peak actually takes two zip line rides, with the first ride nearly 3km ride from the peak and another shorter 1km ride to the ground.

It was awarded the Guinness World Record for world’s longest zip line on Wednesday, January 31. It beat the previous record by 600m.
