The world’s longest aircraft has just been unveiled in Bedfordshire, UK

The Hybrid Air Vehicle looks like a giant airship. However,the high tech design means it acts like one big aeroplane wing.

It was originally developed by the British, who then sold it to America, and then they bought it back again.

They plan to have the first flight early in 2015.

The size of the spaceship is huge. It is 92m long which is about 20m longer than the biggest airliners that currently exist.

It costs about $120m to build and the flying machine will eventually be able to carry 50 tonnes at a time. It could potentially fit hundreds of people on board.
