A new jumbo treadmill, created by Oxford Fitness in Chile, can hold up to 10 runners at a time.
This jumbo treadmill is 4 times larger than an average treadmill and measures 16 feet in height and 19 feet in length.
The buttons that control the speed are so high that runners cannot reach them, so someone must stand on a ladder to alter the speed.
Oxford Fitness has announced its plan to host a pair of 2 hour races on the new treadmill in Santiago, Chile, the first to test runners’ stamina, the second race to eliminate numbers by increasing speed.
With the help of a national tour with the treadmill, the company hopes to catch the attention of Guinness World Record holder, Erwin Valdebinto, who holds the record for running 24 hours without stopping on a regular treadmill. They hope Erwin will attempt to set a new record on their jumbo treadmill!
