Professional sand artist, Rusty Croft, may have earned the record for the world’s largest sandcastle in his latest project.

Measuring 39 feet (11 meters) tall, Rusty’s latest project took 20 truckloads of sand and almost a week to complete. The incredibly detailed sandcastle was built on a Brazilian beach with a view of Rio de Janeiro in the distance.

The masterpiece was created with only sand and water and the Guinness World Records team travelled to Brazil to measure the sandcastle to decide whether it was in fact a new record.

When a decision has been made, the sandcastle will be destroyed so that children can return to the beach and build their own sandcastles without this towering creation in the way.

So professional sandcastle builder…best job ever?!
