The 2018 fastest snail championships were held on 21st July 2018 and this year’s winner is a snail called Hosta.
Hosta is owned by Jo Waterfield from Grimston near King’s Lynn.
Hosta covered the 13 inch course in 3 mins 10 secs.
Hosta is named after his favourite plant. Jo said “He spent all summer eating my hostas. I told him that if he didn’t win I’d squash him!”
One hundred and ninety snails battled it out this year and there were 11 snails in the final.
