The 2021 Rugby World Cup is set to be postponed.

The tournament was scheduled to take place in September and October.

However, World Rugby decided there was too much uncertainty due to Covid-19 to be sure of a successful tournament.

They have been in lengthy discussions with the New Zealand Government, New Zealand Rugby and the teams.

A final, ‘official’ decision on postponing the tournament will be made next week.
