A woman has been left with a stained-pink face after believing the term ‘washable’ meant she could paint her face.

Twitter user @Leletill, known only as Leah, posted a ‘before’ photo of her face smothered in bright pink glittery paint last week.

Alongside the photo was another of the side of the container which said “washes easily off skin and out of most fabrics”.

It could be assumed this disclaimer applies to small amounts accidentally spilled onto the skin. However, Leah seemed shocked to find her face left stained with the colour.

Her post has been retweeted more than 139,000 times within four days.
