The White Ferns have thrashed India in their first warm up game for the upcoming Cricket World Cup.

In the first of five matches against India, the White Ferns claimed a comfortable 62-run win

Batting first they set a formidable target of 275 runs. Suzie Bates has scored her 11th international ODI century, at a run a ball pace.
Bates finished up with 106 runs and set the platform for the White ferns batting innings.

When Bates’ departed, the White Ferns were set to post a big total, but ended up collapsing as they went from 223 to 275 all out.

Jess Kerr was the pick of the bowlers with figures of four wickets for 35 runs.

The second game of the series gets underway in Queenstown on Tuesday.
