The White Ferns have been beaten by England by 46 runs in the first T20 international in Chelmsford.

New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first. However, the home side batted well to score 184-4 off their twenty overs. This was England’s highest T20 score against the White Ferns.

In reply, New Zealand really never threaten England’s total. They took regular wickets and finally bowled New Zealand out for 138, with seven balls remaining.

Game two of the three match series is in Hove on Sunday.
