The Football Ferns have lost their second game of the Women’s World Cup.

They have been defeated 2-0 by a clinical Canadian side in Grenoble.

Canada are now in the last 16 of the World Cup while the New Zealand team is unable to qualify for the last 16. They have one game remaining against Cameroon.

For Canada, Jessie Fleming then broke the deadlock just after half-time before Nichelle Prince ensured Canada maintained their winning start.

The White Ferns have now gone 14 games without a World Cup win.
