Waihi Mine to get bigger

The Waihi Mine has been granted permission to become bigger.

The company will be able to purchase new land.

Minister of Finance Grant Robertson and Associate Minister of Finance David Parker oversaw the decision.

The decision will help New Zealand because around 340 full-time jobs will be kept and there will be exports valued at $2 billion over the next nine years.
