Valerie Adams win shotput bronze medal

Valerie Adams has won bronze in the shotput final at the Tokyo Olympics.

The kiwi sporting legend had a best throw of 19.62m. China’s Lijiao Gong won the event and USA’s Raven Saunders was third.

The other kiwi in the final, Maddison-Lee Wesche, finished sixth after throwing a personal best this afternoon.

The bronze medal is Dame Valerie’s fourth medal in five Olympic games.
