US recovers from Snowstorm Nemo

The northeast of the United States is slowly getting back to normal after snow storm Nemo covered large areas with snow and ice.

The storm has caused the deaths of at least nine people and paralyzed the region with high winds and heaps of snow.

In total around 1m of snow hit the region, causing widespread damage and delays.

More than 300,000 homes are were still without power as the storm now heads towards Canada.

Airports and railway stations were closed, causing widespread delays and disruptions for thousands of passengers.
