America says it has compelling evidence the Syrian government carried out the chemical weapons attacks on innocent people in Syria.
President Obama is therefore considering military strikes against Syria.
This is despite UN weapons inspectors saying it could be two weeks before the results of their tests on the site are released. The inspectors have now left Syria.
Speaking last Friday, Mr Obama said the attack in Damascus’ suburbs on 21 August was “a challenge to the world” .
Mr Obama has discussed the situation in Syria with British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Francois Hollande.
Last week Britain decided not to send in military and France are currently considering their options.
At this stage New Zealand Prime Minister has not said if he will support the United States if they do go into Syria.

Dude!!
I hate wars. There shouldn’t be any.
Look at the history of the Syrian Civil war. The Syrian government has slaughtered many innocent people. Is it really okay for that to keep happening, and for nothing to be done about it?
What if you were an innocent citizen of Syria? What would you think then?
