The United Nations Security Council has imposed new sanctions on North Korea.

The sanctions come following the countries two intercontinental ballistic missile tests in July.

The resolution bans North Korean exports of coal, iron, iron ore, lead, lead ore and seafood. Experts think this will slash North Korea’s revenue by $3 billion over a year.

The sanctions have been put in place to try and force North Korea to stop their missile and nuclear testing.

The resolution was passed without opposition.

  1. Great news, at least Kim Jong Un won’t be annoying the other countries for a while anymore.
