Researchers from the University of Otago have found that eating two kiwifruit each day can improve a person’s mood and give them energy.
The study was done on 54 young male university students whose vitamin C levels were low because they ate little fresh fruit.
The study showed that those who ate two kiwifruit daily were less fatigued and felt they had more energy than those who didn’t.
The changes appear to be related to the high doses of vitamin C in kiwifruit.
The study provides good evidence that there are measurable health benefits from eating a good amount of fruit and vegetables daily.
