Travel to the moon might be available to the general public sooner than you think.
A Canadian architectural company, Moon World Resorts (MWR), has proposed to build a huge resort in Dubai in the form of a giant moon at a cost of $5 billion
The resort would include a 220m tall replica of the Moon as its main attraction. The resort will be a replica of the moon’s surface, with visitors able to walk on a simulated lunar walk experience.
It is expected that the moon-shaped resort will attract about 2.5 million visitors annually.
The resort will include a nightclub, an event center that will hold up to 5,000 guests, a spa-wellness center, a jazz piano lounge, and a multi-level lounge based on an alien spacecraft. A large convention center is intended to attract exhibitors in the technology and space fields.
MOON will also include 144 luxury units for purchase as part of a private residence program. Each villa comes with a lifetime membership to MOON that comes with exclusive privileges.
While official plans in Dubai are being finalised, the company estimates that it would take two years to construct this unique resort.
