Search and Rescue groups have spent the night searching through thick bush for any signs of two missing tampers.
The two woman, aged 68 and 76, entered the Kaimai ranges bush around 11am yesterday for a routine day long tramp.
However after failing to return by around 6pm, their daughters raised the alarm to local authorities.
While nothing was discovered overnight, search and rescue teams will continue to scour the bush for any signs of the missing ladies.
