Tom Walsh wins in Paris

New Zealand shot put champion Tom Walsh has won the latest Diamond League event in Paris.

Walsh won with an excellent throw of 22.44m.

It was the reigning world champion’s best throw of the season and surpassed his own meeting record of 22m which he set in 2016.

American Joe Kovacs finished in second place, Brazil’s Darlan Romani was third.

On the track, Nick Willis finished 14th in the 1500 metre race with a time of 3:37:33.
