Telecom has officially changed its name to Spark.
On  August 8th New Zealand’s largest telecommunications company re-branded itself.
It is estimated that the name change will cost the company around $20 million.
Chief executive of Spark Simon Moutter said the technical transition of the name change was “extremely complex”. He said that aspects such as signs and advertising where not so difficult and would change over time.
Spark is one of the largest companies in  New Zealand.  They have an average yearly revenue of $4.2 billion, 6600 employees at the middle of last year, and is one of the country’s biggest investors in technology.
