Teams fined over joining European Super League

The six Premier League clubs involved in the European Super League (ESL) have been fined over £20m between them.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea Manchester City, Tottenham and Arsenal were part of a breakaway league aimed at preserving their status.

The Premier League fined is around £3.5m for each club.

The Premier League have also said that if clubs attempt to break away again, they will face more fines or even Premier League point deductions.

The fines will help fund grassroots football and community projects.
