A Swedish strongman has thrown a washing machine an astonishing 4.4metres.

Johan Espenkrona broke the world record while going head-to-head with Dutch strongman Kelvin de Ruiter. The pair were filming part of the Guinness World Records’ TV show in Italy.

The bodybuilders took turns throwing washing machines in an attempt to break the record of 4.13m, which was set by Lithuanian man Zydrunas Savickas.

De Ruiter initially broke the record with a 4.17m throw but Espenkrona ultimately took the title by throwing his washing machine 4.5 metres.
