Scientists have discovered a star with an enormous ring system outside our solar system.

Research shows that the system around the star – called J1407 – consists of over 30 rings, each of them tens of millions of kilometres across.

The ring system is roughly 200 times larger than Saturn’s rings.

The diameter of the ring system is 120 million km

The new rings are so big if these rings were around Saturn they would be bigger than our moon and visible from earth.
