The third week of Super Rugby was as exciting as the last. The week started with the Hurricanes thrashing the Brumbies 43-13 in Palmerston North, the Huricanes getting back on track after a loss to the Crusaders. Next was the Rebels beating the Highlanders 24-19 in Australia with the Australian teams continuing their good form against the NZ teams, the Highlanders losing their first of the season. Another surprising match was the Sunwolves winning their first ever away match, winning 30-15 against the Chiefs.

The Crusaders were next, winning comfortably 22-12 against the Queensland Reds to make it 3 wins from 3, and the big clash between the Lions and the Bulls ended with the Bulls winning 30-12 in Johannesburg. The last two matches were the Stormers beating the Sharks 16-11 in another South-African derby, and the Blues continuing their poor and unlucky run of results, losing to the Jaguares 23-19 in Argentina.

The top of the standings show the Crusaders in first on 12 points, the Sharks not close behind with 11 points in second, and the Hurricanes and Highlanders on 9 points each in third. Another great week of Super Rugby action, looking forward to next week’s NZ derby between the Highlanders and the Hurricanes.
