Another week of fantastic rugby, and another week full of surprises. The matches started on Friday night with an important game between the Blues and the Highlanders in Auckland. The Blues came out on top, winning 33-26 in a tight game. The next match was on Saturday night, with the Hurricanes winning against the Stormers 34-28 in Wellington to close the gap between the Crusaders.
The third match was the Waratahs getting a shock win against the Crusaders, winning 20-12 in Sydney. The last match on Saturday was last year’s finalists the Lions beating the Sunwolves 37-24 in Singapore.
On Sunday it started with the Chiefs beating the Bulls 56-20 in South Africa, earning their first win of the season. Next were the in-form Sharks beating the Rebels 28-14, and the last match this week was the Reds beating the Brumbies 36-14 in Brisbane.
On first place in the standings are the Crusaders and the Hurricanes tied on 19 points, the Lions second with 18 points, and the Sharks third with 15 points.
I look forward to next week with the Hurricanes and the Crusaders playing each other on Friday night in Wellington, it should be a great game.
