Another great weekend of Super Rugby, though in light of what has happened in Christchurch, there were only 5 games this time. The Highlanders vs Crusaders match was cancelled, and the Blues, the Sharks, and the Bulls all had byes.

The first match of the week was a tussle between the Chiefs and the Hurricanes in Waikato, both sides earning 2 points in a 23-23 draw.

The other match on Friday was the Brumbies beating the Waratahs 19-13, in a Australian derby in Canberra.

On Saturday, the first match was the Jaguares playing the Stormers in South Africa, the Stormers coming out on top, winning 35-8.

The second match on Saturday was the Queensland Reds taking on the Sunwolves in Tokyo, the Reds narrowly winning 34-31.

The last match that weekend was the Lions beating the Rebels by only 3 points, winning 36-33. In first place on the standings are the Crusaders with 19 points, in second the Hurricanes with 15 points, and the Stormers, the Bulls, the Rebels and the Lions are all tied in 3rd place with 13 points.
