Super Rugby Aotearoa has started with a bang!

Over the weekend New Zealand became the first country in the world to restart live sport with two rugby games.

In the first game, the Highlanders upset the Chiefs to record a 28-27 victory. The game came to life in the final 10 minutes with the Chiefs taking the lead and then having it snatched from them in the final minute.

To add to the twist, the winning drop goal was scored by Bryn Gatland, the son of the opposition coach, Warren Gatland.

In the Sunday game, the Blues proved too strong for the Hurricanes. In front of the full stadium at Eden Park, the Blues won 30-20 in a pulsating game that had 4 lead changes in the first 20 minutes.
