The Melbourne Storm are the 2020 NRL Champions.

The Storm held off a spirited comeback from the Panthers to win the Grand Final 26-20 on Sunday.

Storm captain Cameron Smith led the way with 14 points as the Storm dominated all but the last 10 minutes of a season finale.

The game was played in front of a rain-drenched crowd of 40,000, as the Panthers looked to increase their 17-match winning streak.

The Storm was too strong in defence and led 26 nil before the Panthers came back into the game. Despite late tries from Stephen Crichton and Josh Mansour to reduce the deficit, it wasn’t enough and the Storm held on.
