The SpaceX company has launched a capsule from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida designed to carry people.

The launch took place over the weekend and the capsule has now docked at the International Space station.

The white, bullet-shaped Dragon capsule was developed by Elon Musk’s SpaceX company under contract to NASA.

Dragon is the first American-made spacecraft capable of carrying a crew to the space station in eight years.

If this six-day test flight goes well, a Dragon capsule could take two NASA astronauts to the orbiting outpost this summer.
