South Africa won the final game with a tense four-run victory at Newlands.
India chose to field and restricted South Africa to 287 all out of 49.5 overs.
However, the visitors narrowly failed in their chase as they managed 283 all out with only four balls left in the innings.
De Kock top scored for South Africa with 124 of 134 balls.
