A new ‘Capsule Hotel’ has opened in inner-city Sydney.

It is the latest in budget accommodation — although those with claustrophobia may want to steer clear.

The tiny pod-shaped room that is roughly as long and wide as a single bed are filled with the necessities of a standard hotel.
They are available to rent at $50 per night, cheaper than a taxi ride home.

And since opening three weeks ago, Sydney’s capsule hotel has been booming.

Like any decent hotel room, each pod comes with wi-fi, a small television, linens, towels, temperature control and a storage locker.

However there are some compromises. Guests are required to share bathroom facilities.

  1. I don’t quite like the idea of shared bathrooms. but apart from that, it is a really cool idea. I like the way they made another capsule hotel (Japan had the first one). ??

  2. I wouldn’t mind sleeping in that it looks nice an comfy, just shove tons of blankets and pillows in there and it would be like living on a cloud, I don’t mind sharing toilets

  3. Man, what if you got locked in there and couldn’t get out, that would be the scariest thing ever.
