A snoring jury member has been dismissed by a judge in Sydney during an important case.

The unnamed woman was part of an extended jury of 15 hearing a serious court case.

However, as the prosecution case neared its conclusion, Justice Peter Hamill noticed the juror “was clearly asleep for some period of time”.

It turns out the jury had fallen asleep on at least four separate occasions. It had happened when evidence was being presented by Lawyers.

After being told she was being discharged, the juror disclosed there was a medical reason for her drowsiness.
