The government has announced that they will use the television show Shortland Street to promote nursing.

Minister of Health Andrew Little yesterday announced the government would be working with Shortland Street to encourage more nurses to join the workforce.

They would include the Shortland Street television show, but he was not aware of any payment being offered.

The push for nurses is needed because of a national shortage.

The deal to promote nursing will include an interactive quiz, social media content, promotional videos, and a brief storyline to feature within the show.
