American scientists believe that they have found evidence from the beginnings of time.

A group in America have been researching deep into our solar system using a $23 million telescope.

Scientists believe that the universe burst into existence 13.8 billion years ago. Fractions of a second later, space and time were created and from then space ripples were sent out.

It is these ripples that the scientists have been able to find and is the first time that this has been achieved.

Astrophysicists have been hunting for these waves ever since it was predicted by Albert Einstein in 1916 when he unveiled his theory of general relativity.
