A Russian cruise ship abandoned and adrift for two years has been located off the west coast of Ireland.

The floating ship, named the Lyubov Orlova, had no crew on board and maritime authorities had been uncertain of its precise location.

The ship left Canada’s shores on January 23 to be towed to a scrapyard in the Dominican Republic. But while in transit the cable snapped, leaving it stranded in international waters.

The ship has been floating for 2 years with nobody willing to take responsibility. Canada’s transport authority said the ship was no longer its problem. However, sea experts said the owners was responsible for its movements.

  1. I think that this is creepy because there was no one on the boat. Some of us think that it might be haunted because there was no crew on it but then the currents might have made it drift too. It is cool that people found it after two whole years.

  2. I don’t know how a ship could float around for 2 years without sinking and if it was so big why didn’t they find it faster. It’s really mysterious who would know why it was abandened plus not to mention where is the crew, captain and most importantly the passengers and what happened to them they will probably find out sooner or later when they find dead bodies floating around where they found the ship or as they call it the ghost ship!!!!!!!
